This original fabric is woven in Yamashina, Kyoto, using thick hemp yarn for both the warp and weft, and then has a brushed surface. The brushing process gives it a softer feel and texture than regular hemp fabrics, resulting in a fabric that feels comfortable against the skin from the start. After dyeing, the fuzzy surface reflects light in a complex way, creating depth and richness in the color. Hemp is an extremely strong fiber, yet it becomes even more supple with repeated wear, and its unique texture increases the longer it is used. 

This shirt features a wide silhouette with ample room in the body. Despite the generous amount of fabric, the use of soft material creates a natural drape and flow. Although the silhouette is relatively flat, gussets are added from the cuffs to the hem to cover body thickness while ensuring freedom of movement. The hem has a natural curve and is finished with a facing. Environmentally friendly nut buttons are used.
